Sealite is pleased to announce that it has acquired Pelangi International Ltd, a privately owned company headquartered in Lowestoft, on the east coast of England.

Pelangi International is a long standing marine distributor of Sealite products in the United Kingdom, and a turn-key AtoN solution provider to the UK market for over 16 years with clients including all three UK lighthouse authorities, the UK MoD, and many commercial ports.

Pelangi International has considerable technical expertise including design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of equipment from marine buoys through to long-range rotating lighthouse beacons. Sealite is extremely proud to build on this expertise and looks forward to incorporating some of the high-quality Pelangi products into the Sealite product line to offer customers an even wider range of solutions.

Sealite Chief Executive Officer Chris Procter commented 'the acquisition of Pelangi International is in line with our growth plans of bringing Sealite people and products closer to our users in the UK and Europe. Pelangi is a trusted name for supplying and servicing aids to navigation in the United Kingdom, and we’re looking forward to building on their foundations and growing the business'.

Pelangi’s Managing Director Bert Frame responded 'It is tremendously exciting for both me and my staff to combine our strengths with a world-leading company like Sealite. Joining the Sealite family offers us so much opportunity, with the added advantage of business as usual to our existing customers'.
