May 23 to 26 - The 2013 Riviera Festival of Boating

Riviera will again have a giant display of its range at the Riviera factory in Coomera Stephen Milne
Riviera has announced details of The Riviera Festival of Boating, which will be held from May 23 to 26 at Riviera’s 14-hectare, state-of-the-art Coomera facility, on Queensland's Gold Coast.

In its second year, The Riviera Festival of Boating is expected to be another pleaser with power boat owners and enthusiasts.

Riviera’s director of brand and communications, Stephen Milne said thousands of Riviera enthusiasts soaked up the vibrant atmosphere during the inaugural four day festival, which was held in May.

'This year we had more than 80 individual educational, training and social activities for Riviera owners to enjoy, including interactive displays and the Technology Showcase on the waterfront, which attracted a lot of interest,' he said.

'Riviera experts will again share their immense knowledge and passion for the greater enjoyment of boating through myriad specialist programs during the 2013 Riviera Festival of Boating.

'We anticipate a much larger crowd at the 2013 festival and have a host of exciting new activities and events planned for our owners and their guests, as well as the trusted favourites such as the skipper training programs, electronic navigation schools, generator set and sanitation system in-field trouble shooting workshops.

'For those new to boating or wishing to brush up on their skills and practical knowledge, we will offer fishing clinics, offshore seamanship, exterior maintenance ‘tricks of the trade’ and a full sea trial program.

'People can learn how to navigate, meet our designers and the talented craftspeople that build our beautiful world-class boats, take a full factory tour, and enjoy a raft of fun events organised exclusively for our Riviera owners and their guests.'

Last year, these events were offered exclusively to Riviera owners to thank them for their loyalty and support over the past few years.

Organisers have this year extended an invitation to other power boat owners who are friends of Riviera owners to come along and take advantage of the free educational and training sessions that are all designed to offer tips, advice and improve general boating knowledge, confidence and enjoyment.

People are encouraged to register early as places are limited. Riviera owners will receive guaranteed registration at all events.

The Riviera Festival of Boating offers free entry, free parking and easy access with many owners able to arrive by boat at the Festival. A visitor arm will be available and owners can book a berth for a 24-hour period.

Riviera owners will be invited to exclusive owner events held over the four day boating festival. Riviera will also offer VIP parking and transport to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show via ferry to all registered Festival guests.
