Update from Race Committee: Racing abandoned for Sunday and postponed to Monday.
SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW MONDAY 23 SEPTEMBER
• Group B Race 7 scheduled start is 14:10
• Intention is 2 races for Group B followed by 4 races for Group A
The first and second fleets of six teams were scheduled to sail on Day 5 of the Youth America's Cup. The updated schedule is above.
Group A - who are affiliated with teams entered in the 2024 America's Cup. Group B are invited teams who are not affiliated with an America's Cup team have they will have their third day of racing in the elimination series for the UniCredit Youth America's Cup.
They raced yesterday in a better breeze.
On Sunday the racing was notified as being uncertain with the Event Management issuing a note earlier Sunday saying the breeze was unstable and that a further announcement would be made at 1200CET as to whether it would proceed. The latest update is "boats are on shore still, wind 6-8 kt and variable, standby for further updates."

The instability will remain with possible rain episodes throughout the day. For the afternoon, onshore winds will be light around 5 knots. The wind direction is expected unsettled and shifty, ranging from East to South. Note that strong winds could occur next to active rain cells.
Sea state of about 1 meter from the East at a 4-second period could make foiling difficult in these light wind conditions. Temperatures will go up to 24°C.

The weather should improve with a low risk of rain. In the afternoon the winds are expected to blow consistently from the South around 10 knots.
