XOD class at Itchenor Keelboat Week - Day 3

Another beautiful day's sailing during Itchenor Keelboat Week! A little more wind than the previous days with wall-to-wall sunshine and 22 XOD's that sailed in about 7-10 knots of breeze at the top of the tide. Chichester harbour was at its best with fewer cruising boats out than at a weekend.
The fleet split on the first beat with those going right winning out. X91 (John Tremlett) was first to the windward mark closely followed by X32 (Oli Broughton), X174 (Al Ashford) and X26 (Colin McKinnon). X32 dropped a couple of places to 4th by the finish otherwise those 4 stayed clear of the chasing pack.
X58 (Penny Fulford) battled her way back to 5th after having been over the line at the start just pipping X50 (Roger Yeoman) and X71 (Damian Ash) on the line, with X166 (Ben McGrane) finishing 8th.
