112 RS Aeros from 14 nations will contest the RS Aero European Championships in Carnac, France, from 21-24 June. Carnac has special memories for the International RS Aero Class, having hosted our first RS Aero World Championship in 2017.

As ever Carnac are the wonderful hosts with its fine Brittany beaches and lively seaside town. Socials are planned each evening allowing the widespread international fleet to catch up ashore, re-counting the day's stories of exciting waves, fast reaches and close crosses! This week is the 10th Anniversary of the RS Aero's launch and we look forward to a huge 150 portion birthday cake in Carnac and maybe some dancing later to celebrate!

The forecast for the championship looks mixed, starting fresh and more moderate later. That should give excellent variety to the racing and allow everyone an opportunity to shine over the four RS Aero Classes, RS Aero 5,6,7 & 9.

RS France and RS Sailing UK are onsite supporting the championship with a fleet of charter RS Aeros allowing distant travellers including several from the USA to compete. Rooster are supporting with a generous spread of prizes and RS France will have an on-site shop with RS race spares and Rooster products.

This is the 5th RS Aero European Championship in the youthful RS Aero's 10 year history, usually held bi-annually, with the four prestigious trophies last awarded at the 2022 RS Aero Europeans, held within the RS Games at Weymouth, UK. Who will be adding their name to those trophies this week?
