Here at SWS, there's only one thing we love more than racing Woodenboats and that's hanging out on Woodenboats. Add to that grass-roots level, community events and in our book you're ticking all the right boxes.

Unable to be held in 2020, The 22nd iteration of the Bribie Classic Boat Regatta is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration of wooden craft, both sail and motor. Below is a little film that captures the very essence of the Regatta. 18 seconds in, can we draw your attention to the smile on the face of the chap, about to christen the bow of his boat with a bottle of beer. Sums it all up. Priceless.

Facebook appears to be the best way to stay up to date with event happenings - cos if the website is anything to go by, the good people of The Bribie Island Boating Club are more interested in being out on the water than coding digital pages. And rightly so! What we'd do to be able to attend a party in Queensland.

CONGRATULATIONS BRIBIE! Here's to all things bunting, salt water and friendship.
