Christmas Greetings from Sailing Raceboats and Rooster Australia © Sailing Raceboats

A year like no other, shiver me timbers

We wish all our customers a wonderful Christmas and New Year and look forward to a 2021 that has a degree of normality. As you will know the entire country was affected in many ways with Melbourne undergoing lockdowns and travel restrictions for months.

However, after an initial slump in sales as everyone took stock of what was happening the order book came alive from July onwards. The Rooster clothing lines continue to be very popular and in the boat department we saw good demand for Quest and Zests plus, finally, the RS Feva two handed junior boat is starting to get noticed with sales in Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.

As for the RS Aero would you believe that we sold 57 boats between March and early December! The class is now firmly established in South Australia, Western Australia is adding boats slowly and NSW and Victoria continue to lead the charge.

None of this would not have happened without the great support we receive from our established and new customers. As always we endeavour to fill orders as swiftly as possible from the large holding of stock here in Melbourne.

Unfortunately the travel restrictions have meant relying on commercial freight companies for deliveries which have often been delayed. A problem that is frustrating for both us and our customers.

With the new year approaching we are hoping that we will again be able to get back on the road and deliver many of the boats ourselves.

So finally again, have a safe and Happy Christmas period and hopefully have some sailing whether it is in a championship, local regatta or just fun on the water.

If you need any parts you can order online through both the Sailing Raceboats store or Rooster Australia for you clothing needs.

We will be working with the exception of Christmas and Boxing Day holidays.
