Laser Lakeland Grand Prix at Morecambe & Heysham this Saturday

by Jonathan Nicoll 22 May 2013 04:24 PDT 25 May 2013

Saturday 25th May sees the fifth round of the UKLA and Rooster sponsored Lakeland Laser Grand Prix held at Morecambe and Heysham Yacht Club. Sailing takes place on the waters of Morecambe Bay with the first race due to start at 10.15 in order to fit in with the tide times.

This is the only event of the series held on the sea so it adds an extra bit of excitement for the mainly inland based sailors of the north as well as offering useful experience of more bumpy conditions.

The current forecast of 10 mph and sunshine should give excellent conditions without being too taxing.

The club has great sailing, good food, a friendly atmosphere and the best value car parking in England so it should all make for a great day.
