Leading world sparmaker, Southern Spars, has shipped two spars for a new 85 metre ketch.

The superyacht will carry two 93metre masts which will be the world’s tallest rigs on one gigantic yacht.

The booms alone are just short of the length of a superyacht, each measuring 23.5m (a superyacht is 25m+) and the longest spreader is over 7m!

Once built, these two mammoth rigs will have consumed 95,000 man-hours, equivalent to one man working his entire working life – 46 years – on one project!

The V1 stay on the main mast has a break load of 860 tons.
