PIC Coastal Classic - New Zealand sailing heritage on the Waitemata

by Richard Gladwell, Sail-World.com on 21 Oct 2016
Start of PIC Coastal Classic - October 21, 2016 - Steinlager 2 Richard Gladwell www.photosport.co.nz
The two New Zealand Sailing Trust yachts - Lion New Zealand and Steinlager 2 were on the Waitemata for the start of the PIC Coastal Classic.

Both round the world maxis are in superb condition, but still true to the original boats which Sir Peter Blake skippered in two Whitbread Round the World Races.

Lion New Zealand was racing with a college crew on board, Steinlager 2 had an adult crew.
