George Bekris was on hand to capture these photos of Super Maxi Comanche's sea-trial with sailing legend Ken Read.

Comanche is a 100ft supermaxi, expected to be the worst rating boat on the planet, and designed by Verdier and VPLP.

She was commissioned by Jim and Kirsty Clark and is skippered by North Sails President, Ken Read. She was built by Hodgon Boat Yard in Maine, and towed in a 25 hour trip to Newport RI for her final fit-out at the Newport Shipyard.

Her first test is expected to be the upcoming Rolex Sydney Hobart race, however timing will be tight.

Comanche has been designed for line-honours regardless of rating, and to set course records when conditions permit.
