Groupe APICIL has ripped out a chainplate during a wild broach, Seguin injured Groupe APICIL broached to windward in a strong gust and Damien Seguin heard a loud noise. A chainplate had torn off its anchor point, leaving a hole in the hull.

Yoann Richomme on the charge and up to 2nd While leader Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance has completed 50% of the race, crossing the the theoretical halfway point, it is Yoann Richomme on Paprec Arkéa who is on the charge, overtaking Sébastien Simon on Groupe Dubreuil.
