Howick Sailing Club Unveils Brand New Committee Boat, Kaitiaki

On Sunday afternoon Howick Sailing Club officially named its new committee boat. The boat, manufactured by Innovision Boats, is called 'Kaitiaki', which means 'Guardian'.

Howick Ward Councillor, Dick Quax, broke the champagne supported by representatives from Innovision Boats and Marie Raos Real Estate Agency in Howick.

The new boat will be used by Howick Sailing Club race management to support a wide rage of events across the local region.

She replaces Howick's existing committee boat, a well known yellow 5.7m Mac that was purchased in 1994.



The team would like to thank the sponsors and supporters that have made the purchase of the boat possible.
