Team Australia, the Challenger of Record for the 35th America's Cup is expected to launch their AC45 on Sydney harbour on Thursday morning.

The team is expected to be sailing later that day and on the weekend.

They are scheduled to sail in a series of tune up races against the America's Cup Defender, Oracle Team USA.

The teams will be sailing in AC45's that are not fitted with foils, in other words, the standard AC45 that was used for the build up to the 34th America's Cup.

Tom Slingsby (AUS) is expected to helm the Oracle Team USA boat.

Several of the expected crew for Team Australia are involved in the JJ Giltinan Trophy being sailed at present on Sydney Harbour and not due to finish until Sunday. These include Seve Jarvin, helmsman of Team Australia in the recent Extreme Sailing Series. Jarvin is currently leading the JJ Giltinan Trophy with two wins from two races against a 34 boat fleet from six countries.
